Cardiff University Safe Taxi Scheme

In order to make sure that Cardiff University students can get home safely, we have set up a safe taxi scheme in partnership with your student union. In the event of an emergency, we can pick you up and take you to safety, even if you don’t have the cash to pay for it there and then.

Utilise our safe car scheme by following these simple steps:

• Call us on 02920 333 333 and quote Cardiff University Safe Taxi Scheme
• Provide your full name, email address and Cardiff University ID number
• You will be sent a priority vehicle. Once it arrives, provide the driver partner with your ID card.

From there, you will be taken to your student residential address, halls of residence, a police station or a hospital.
Be mindful that this service is for emergencies only. The service is available 24 hours a day and has a maximum allowance of £20 and four students to travel. Cardiff University will guarantee the payment for you, and you can settle up from there.
